Before your new instrument is thoroughly packed and ready to go, our technicians will visually inspect it and bring it to life. They look for lacquer cracks, scratches, dull and unpolished areas, protruding binding on the body and fingerboard, as well as workmanship flaws of the neck and frets.
If everything is fine, they'll go ahead and check the hardware. Whether bridges, tailpieces, tuning machines, pickups and electronic parts are properly fitted. They also check to see if the product description matches what they're inspecting. So, that when your instrument is delivered, it's accurately the way you want it.
Then comes the playability check. They adjust the intonation using octaves and the guitar action (the distance between the strings and the fretboard), look at the neck fitting and its geometry, check the zero fret, the bridge and the tremolo. If the instrument is equipped with electronics, they'll plug it in and measure the output voltage as well as the functionality of the pickups and potentiometers.
