Fender Road Worn 50's 21 Guitar Neck

The nitro-cellulose varnish is a finish faithful to the vintage models, which ages very gradually, thus giving the instrument a very pretty worn appearance. Nitro Road Worn finish is hand patinated to recreate the look and feel of a vintage instrument with perfect fidelity. This authentic Fender Stratocaster neck is manufactured in Ensenada factory, Mexico. It features a "Late '50s Thick Soft V" profile and a 184mm radius maple fingerboard with 21 vintage tall frets. It gives you all the playing comfort of a vintage instrument. The synthetic bone nut features pre-cut "pilot" grooves that facilitate precise string spacing in the final filing. Ideal solution for retaining the authentic feel of Fender instrument to your Strat, the head of this replacement neck features even famous "Spaghetti" logo.

My second MIM maple neck with nitro finish. This road worn version is nicely scratched and sanded at the headstock as well as on the fingerboard and back side of the neck. Installation was smooth, tight fit in the pocket of my Squire CV50 body. As the fingerboard sanding resulted a pale sand colour I opted to use aquarell pencil to add some dark discoloration to have a more realistic look. Also applied a very light coat of nitro lacquer as the back side was "too dry" for me and not very comfortable to move my palm up-and-down during playing. After this it became great. Actually I knew that such cosmetic works shall be done as many reviews highlighted it. The synthetic nut was left too high so the action became very high, too. I replaced the nut with a Fender bone one which fit perfectly. All in all, I am satisfied with the neck and would re-order again if needed.
