Offering set-thru construction for unobstructed access to the highest frets, the M-1007 baritone is a seven-string guitar built at a full 27” baritone scale, allowing for extreme downtuning while maintaining excellent string tension. It offers a comfortable and resonant alder body with an outstanding quilted maple top, and an extra-thin U-shaped three-piece maple neck. It has a bound Macassar ebony fingerboard with offset mother-of-pearl dot inlays and 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets, and a bound matching-finish reverse headstock. Components on the M-1007 Baritone include a Floyd Rose 1000 SE double-locking tremolo with stainless steel screws and precise Grover tuners. Its sound is powered by a set of direct-mounted Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker active pickups (ceramic in the bridge and alnico in the neck), with push-pull control to select voicings and black nickel covers to match this guitar’s outstanding aesthetics. Each pickup offers two voices.
The humbucker-humbucker configuration means that the guitar is equipped with two humbucker pickups. It offers a powerful, full sound with high output and low noise, ideal for rock and metal.
The satin finish is popular for its ability to combine the properties of both a glossy and matte finish. This type of finish provides a soft sheen, less intense than gloss but more pronounced than matte. This creates a smooth to touch, lightly reflective surface which gives an elegant and sophisticated appearance. The satin finish is ideal for those looking for a balance between visual appeal and convenience, as it can hide small imperfections and fingerprints better than glossy surfaces.
Macassar ebony is a hard, dense wood with a distinctive striped pattern in shades of black and brown. It offers a clear, crisp tone with excellent response and sustain. The Macassar ebony fingerboard is valued for its luxurious appearance and durability. This contributes to the precise playability and longevity of the instrument.
Maple is known for its strength and stability, making it ideal for necks that need to resist bending and warping.
Alder is a medium-weight wood that produces a well-balanced tone with a strong mid-range, bright highs and moderate bass. It is known for its warm and full sound, making it a versatile material for a variety of musical styles.
