This E-II guitar is a sustain-lover's dream, with neck-thru-body construction as well as a Gotoh TOM bridge with string-thru-body design. Built in Japan and available with a stunning Tiger Eye Amber Fade finish over its figured quilted maple top, the E-II Horizon NT-II offers a 3-piece maple neck and a mahogany body, an ebony fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo frets. Ready for everything from super tight rhythms to fluid leads, this guitar includes high-end components like a bone nut, ESP strap locks, and Gotoh locking tuners. The sound of the E-II Horizon NT-II comes from a set of outstanding active pickups, with EMG 66TW (neck) and EMG 57TW (bridge) in brushed chrome that offer discrete coil-splitting controls for each pickup. Includes ESP hardshell case.
Ebony is a very hard and dense wood with a smooth surface and a rich, dark color. It offers a clear, articulate tone with excellent response. The ebony fingerboard is popular for its durability, speed and luxurious appearance, while offering excellent playability and precise tone.
The humbucker-humbucker configuration means that the guitar is equipped with two humbucker pickups. It offers a powerful, full sound with high output and low noise, ideal for rock and metal.
The Superstrat is a type of electric guitar based on the design of the Stratocaster, but modified for a more aggressive style of playing, especially in the hard rock and metal genres. It has a solid body, often with powerful humbucker pickups for a more powerful and distorted sound. Superstrat guitars often have an improved tremolo system (like the Floyd Rose) and a faster neck for technical playing. This type of guitar is designed for the modern guitarist who demands more versatility and performance.
Maple is known for its strength and stability, making it ideal for necks that need to resist bending and warping.
Mahogany is a dense wood that produces a warm, full tone with rich bass and a strong mid-range. It is known for its excellent sustain and resonance, giving it a deep and round sound.
