Electro-acoustic guitar that is a direct descendent of Epiphone’s original line of flattops going back to the golden age of acoustic guitars in the 1930s. The smaller "parlour" or "blues box" style acoustic guitar is favoured by blues players of all eras for its compressed, woody tonal quality, short scale, and comfortable weight which makes it ideal for fingerpicking or the bark of a bottle neck slide. Back and sides of the instrument are made of select mahogany, top is made of solid spruce. Glued-in mahogany neck with a SlimTaper “D” profile and a dovetail joint features an adjustable truss rod and is fitted with a rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dot inlays, 12” radius and 19 medium frets. Scale length is 628.65 mm, nut width is 42.672 mm. Guitar is equipped with the Fishman Sonitone sound-hole preamp with Master Volume and Master Tone controls that runs on 9V battery, and the Fishman Sonicore under-saddle pickup. Instrument further features a straight rosewood bridge with compensated, imitation bone saddle, nickel strap buttons and hardware, Grover machine heads with mini-buttons (14:1), a tortoise shell style pickguard with vintage-style metal “E” and D’Addario Phosphor strings (.012-.053).
