Need a versatile mic to handle drums, percussion, amplifiers and other instrumental sources? Behringer has the answer with the B 906, a super cardioid dynamic mic that's custom designed for great instrument reproduction! The B 906 instrument microphone is especially tailored for guitar amps, and is also excellent for percussion, horns and vocals. The B 906 features a switchable presence filter which allows you to tailor the sound characteristics to different sound requirements and styles. The filter is adjusted via a slide switch on the microphone with different positions to boosts the presence for aggressive metal rhythm guitars or for classic rock and smooth jazz and blues sounds. You can hang the B 906 on a guitar amp for stand-free performance. Its laterally mounted capsule has been specially developed for miking guitar amps face on and extremely close to the signal source. Due to its flat design, the B 906 is also very suitable for use with drums, since it can easily be positioned in cramped space conditions. The super cardioid pattern is great for reducing bleed in tight situations onstage, and the B 906's hum compensating coil rejects interference. Stick the B 906 in front of your amp or drum kit and you're ready to go!
A dynamic microphone is a type of microphone that works by moving a coil in a magnetic field. This mechanism allows you to capture sound waves and convert them into electrical signals. Dynamic microphones provide a natural and warm sound with excellent handling of loud sound sources such as vocals, drums, or electric instruments. Their directionality usually prevents unwanted ambient sounds from being picked up, which reduces background noise.

This mic has a "secret". The three position switch shows the central position as being "flat" but in reality the flat response from the capsule is when the switch is set to high boost. The middle position introduces a hi mid cut and the left hand position adds a hi cut as well. So to compare this mic to the classic sennheiser you need to set it to "hi-boost". When set like that it's identical to one classic sennheiser, and I really mean identical. This is an outstanding mic for the price and is great for e.guitar or toms - just the same as the original. Totally recommended! (though for Tom use the form factor isn't so ideal - not sure how well it would survive a drumstick impact!)
there are a lot of reviews already on YouTube and similar mista. everyone tries to compare it with "origos", but then I didn't notice that anyone would see how it is with this microphone. so I'll share the "secret". Here you have a switch with three positions. The middle faces look like they are "even/unedited", but that's not the case. In fact, the microphone is in the flat position when the switch shows hi-boost. The middle position of the switches is in reality a hi-mid cut, and the left position is a hi-cut as well. now that you know this, try to compare it first and you will find out that there is an identical Sennheiser classic, and literally identical. it's a great buy, both for e.guitar and tomy, Even if the "form factor" here is not quite ideal, I don't know how well it would survive a blow from a stick, but from the sound side it would be number one.
